Part 1 — Technical Specifications
1. What is the temperature uniformity across the platen?
Standard vacuum hot presses hold uniformity within ±0.5 °C. Standard platen 300×250 mm (customizable 100×100 to 800×600 mm), with an embedded heating-plate layout, 4–16 independent sensors and real-time PID compensation. A ±0.3 °C high-density option is available; a factory self-test report can be provided before order confirmation.
2. What is the displacement repeatability under load?
Under rated load: ±0.008 mm (servo electric-cylinder) / ±0.02 mm (hydraulic), verified over 100 continuous cycles. Every machine passes a 24-hour run-in test before shipment; a formal report is available during order evaluation.
3. What is the maximum vacuum level and how long does it hold?
Two-stage dry, oil-free pump (no contamination). Ultimate vacuum −98 kPa (standard) / −101.2 kPa (high-vacuum). Fluctuation < 5% over a one-hour cycle, sealed with high-temperature O-rings.
4. What is the platen flatness tolerance at 300°C?
Room-temperature flatness ±0.008 mm; parallelism ±0.01 mm; flatness change at 300 °C ≤ ±0.015 mm (factory-measured). Platen is imported hot-work die steel (SKD61) with high-temperature heat treatment and stress-relief tempering. Higher-precision platens can be customized.
5. How are heating elements protected against oxidation?
316L stainless heating tubes with a corrosion-resistant coating, embedded inside the platen (no air contact). Typical service life 3–5 years under normal operating conditions; modular replacement within about 1 hour.
6. How long can the equipment run continuously?
Every unit passes a 24–72 hour run test before shipment and is designed for extended continuous production. Actual continuous uptime depends on your process and maintenance. Routine maintenance every 3 months, full annual service; a 24-hour support plan is available for 24×7 production.
7. What material is used for the platen surface?
Standard: imported SKD61 hot-work die steel, hardness HRC 48–52, working temperature ≤ 500 °C, tensile strength ≥ 1500 MPa, precision-ground with hard chrome. Custom: 316L stainless for corrosive environments, Inconel/high-temp alloys for >500 °C.
8. What is the operating noise level?
≤ 75 dB(A) at 1 m, using a low-noise VFD motor, anti-vibration base and acoustic insulation. Complies with EN ISO 3744.
9. What is the power consumption per cycle?
Typical per cycle (TCO at €0.25/kWh): MEA Hot Press ~2–3 kWh; Vacuum Hot Press ~1.2–1.5 kWh; CCM Vision Cutting ~0.03–0.06 kWh; Fuel Cell Stack Press ~2.2–3.3 kWh. Actual consumption varies with set temperature, cycle and pace; a precise assessment is provided with the customized proposal.
10. What is the standard cycle time?
Indicative cycle times, tuned to your product and target output: MEA Hot Press ~15–30 min/piece; Vacuum Hot Press ~5 min/batch @200 °C; CCM Cutting 30–60 s/piece; Stack Press ~20–40 min/stack. Throughput is confirmed against your specs at evaluation.
Part 2 — Applications & Customization
11. Can the platen size be customized?
Yes. Standard 300×250 mm; customizable 100×100 to 800×600 mm; larger sizes assessed individually. Pricing by size, material and accuracy. Indicative lead time: minor size change +5–10 working days; large/special-material +15–30 working days — confirmed for your configuration at order.
12. Can the temperature range be extended?
Standard RT–300 °C (regular) / RT–500 °C (high-temp). Higher (e.g. 600 °C) or low-temperature pressing available via custom heating, vacuum/cooling and thermal-safety design; feasibility and cost assessed per process.
13. Can it handle specific materials?
Experience with PET/PI/PFSA membranes, PTFE film, carbon-fiber prepreg, glass fiber, resin composites, insulation boards, aerogel, thermal pads, rubber, silicone and graphite. Sample-pressing service: send your material, we test on the actual machine and return samples plus a report before you order.
14. What is the minimum/maximum workpiece size?
Minimum ~50×50 mm (clamping-limited); maximum limited by platen size (300×250 up to custom 800×600 mm). Oversized handled with custom platen and fixturing.
15. Can the control system integrate with our MES?
Yes. Standard PLC Inovance H5U (Siemens S7-1200 / Mitsubishi FX5U optional). Protocols: Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, Profinet. Exports machine status, real-time curves, product ID/batch, cycle time, output, alarms. Tell us your MES (SAP ME / Siemens Opcenter / Rockwell FactoryTalk) for an integration plan.
16. Does the HMI support multiple languages?
Yes. Standard Chinese and English; customizable Arabic, Vietnamese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, etc. Custom-language cost is quoted at order confirmation.
17. What data export formats are supported?
XLSX, CSV, PDF — pressure/displacement/temperature curves, cycle time, product ID, batch, operator, alarms. Transfer via USB and LAN (standard), cloud sync (optional).
18. Do you have CE / UL certification?
Not currently held, though built to CE/UL safety standards. If required, we can assist with certification; indicative CE ~3–6 months and UL ~4–6 months, with costs and responsibility agreed case-by-case. For non-mandatory markets we provide a "built to CE/UL standards" statement plus internal test reports.
19. What is the lead time for customized equipment?
Indicative lead times (excluding shipping): standard ~25–30, minor customization ~30–45, major customization ~45–75 working days. The final lead time is confirmed for your specific configuration at order.
20. Is a demo unit available for evaluation?
Whole-machine demos are impractical (50 kg–15,000 kg). Instead: material-pressing service (we test your material and return samples + video + data), factory visit at our Dongguan facility, or a video-conference demonstration.
Part 3 — Commercial & After-Sales
